Mr John George

Managing Director

A seasoned Nigerian businessman with over 25 years of experience. He studied Business Administration at the Lagos State University (LASU) before venturing into the world of business as an entrepreneur. He started his career as a broker in the supply of petroleum products and vessel chartering, with a deep understanding of the maritime, oil and gas industry. He holds major shares in companies such as Jon Marino, GCI Oil & Gas Ltd, Sub-Sea 9 Ocean Services — a company with over four fleets of various marine vessels — and Sub-Sea 9 Gas Ltd.

Mr. Olusegun Olurotimi Olaleye

Non-Executive Director (Trading, Operations & Logistics)

An Economics graduate of the University of Lagos with an MBA in Banking & Finance from the ESUT Business School, Marina, Lagos, and an associate member of the Institute of Certified Credit Administrators of Nigeria (AICCA). He has varied experience across banking and the oil & gas industry — heading oil & gas desks at NNB International Bank and EIB International Bank and participating in landmark transactions such as the acquisition of Agip Nigeria PLC by Unipetrol Nigeria PLC (now Oando). He left the banking industry in June 2006 to join Mettle Energy & Gas Ltd, where he was elevated to Executive Director-Business Development before his departure in June 2008.

Mr Ullrich Afini-Awani

Non-Executive Director (Business Development & Investment)

A German lawyer by profession with German/Nigerian nationality, working as a business consultant and entrepreneur in Nigeria since 2001. In 2004 he formed Globe Commodities Africa Enterprises Limited for agro-related investments, and in 2017 he spearheaded the formation of Globe Commodities International GmbH (GCI GmbH) in line with international compliance rules for investments into crude oil monetisation. He is Managing Director of GCI GmbH, GCI Oil & Gas Limited, GCI E&P Ltd and Nido Energy Ltd.

Mr. Aniekan Iniama

Group General Manager, Operations

A key team member with a speciality in the maritime industry and vast experience in vessel operations, procurement, logistics and chartering in the downstream oil and gas sector. He started his career with Jevkon Oil & Gas Limited in 2006, playing a key role in the purchase of the company's 2006 newly built vessel, Mt. Breakthrough, in 2007. He formed Blu-Ice Energy Services Limited in 2013 before joining Sub-Sea 9 Ocean Services Ltd. With a B.A. in Mass Communication from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, he is also a certified Auditor with the International Register of Shipping (IRS) Classification Society.

Barrister Paul Ishabor Esq

Legal Adviser

A graduate of the Faculty of Law, University of Calabar, called to the Nigerian Bar in 2005. He started practice at the chambers of I. A. Adedipe (SAN) in Port Harcourt, later serving as State Counsel at the Cross River State Ministry of Justice and as Manager at the Cross River State Investment Promotion Bureau. He has been involved in the conceptualisation and implementation of the CRS Songhai farm initiative, the 2x 26 MW Calabar Independent Power Plant Project and a host of other infrastructure projects.

Chief Engr. Muhammed Ali

Technical Superintendent

A graduate of Marine Engineering from the National Maritime Academy, Singapore, with eight years of workshop experience at Al-Meena Marine Engineering, Pakistan. He is a mechanical specialist with 20 years of experience in defect analysis, operation, repair, maintenance, planned maintenance and major overhaul of various machineries, well versed in ISO standards and industrial safety. He has served as Class 1 Chief Engineer (Honduras and Panama), Superintendent for DTA Shipping Dubai and Hong Kong River Engineering Company, and holds a C.O.C from the Maritime Port Authority, Singapore.
